Stakeholders Commend FG’s Step To Develop Science And Technology

A former President, Nigeria Society of Engineers, (NSE), Engineer Olumuyiwa Ajibola today eulogized the Federal Government for declaring emergency in the Science and Technology sector.

Engineer Ajibola who gave his commendation while fielding questions on the BCOS breakfast show AM 120 said the declaration is the right step at the right time.

He however called on the Federal Government and the other tiers of government in the country to translate the declaration into the overall development of Science and Technology.

The chairman of Atanyase Group, Mr. Tokunbo Ajasin, who also featured on today’s edition of the television programme, while speaking on the 60 years of western Nigerian independence, said the regional system of government would allow each region to develop at its own pace.

Mr. Ajasin also charged Federal and State Governments to spend at least thirty per cent of their annual budget on education for the country to grow.
