PSG confident of completing stunning £239.3m double deal for Neymar and Alexis Sanchez
The Arsenal and Barcelona stars have been heavily linked with moves away from their respective clubs.
Sanchez,
28, has entered the final 12 months of his current contract at Arsenal
and has already admitted he wants to play Champions League football in
the new season.
The Chile international has already rejected a
£300,000-a-week offer to extend his stay at the Emirates, with the
player looking for wages of around £400,000-a-week.
Neymar, on
the other hand, has apparently told his team-mates he is leaving the Nou
Camp to join PSG with the transfer said to be at an advanced stage.
And
The Guardian claim one of the biggest double-signings in football
history could be completed in the next few days and may amount to a
mammoth £239.3m.
It is said PSG chairman Nasser al Khelaifi is working on a deal to bring Neymar to the club.
While the club's sporting director Antero Henrique is focusing on luring Alexis Sanchez to the Parc des Princes. Henrique apparently spent Friday afternoon with the Chile international and his agent at the Royal Monceau hotel in Paris.
These talks were supposedly positive with both camps close to an agreement regarding Sanchez.
The Guardian say PSG will lodge an opening offer of £40.3m in the hope that they can secure a deal for the Arsenal man.
Unai Emery's side are hoping Al Khelaifi's relationship with Arsene Wenger will help get a deal over the line.
But the Gunners are likely to reject their initial approach as as Wenger is determined to keep him in north London.
Should this be the case, PSG will likely increase their offer to £44.8m.
